Happenings at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church:
WORSHIP SCHEDULE For This Sunday 9/21/2014- Mark your calendars! This Sunday, September 21, 2014 we will have only one worship service! The early Worship Service scheduled for 8:45 am has been canceled . Sunday School will be at 9:45 a.m. and then our Scottish Heritage Worship Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. See below for further details on Scottish Heritage Sunday.
PRESBYTERIAN WOMAN MEETING: The 27th Annual Fall Gathering is being held on September 13, 2014 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Monroe NC. The theme this year is Reconciling Paul: A Contemporary study of II Corinthians. Rev. Elizabeth Williamson of Amity Presbyterian Church will be giving the Bible Study Overview. You may download the flyer with driving directions here: PWFallGathering2014
SCOTTISH HERITAGE SERVICE: Mark your calendar for our Scottish Heritage Celebration on September 21, 2014. We will worship together after Sunday School at one service at 11:00 am and share good food and fellowship at a pot luck lunch immediately following worship. Come and enjoy the bagpipes, the parade of the tartans and so much more!
FUN BUNCH LUNCH: Fall is almost here and our menu for Fun Bunch on September 18th reflects the changing season. We are moving away from our picnics of summer and will be having hearty food going in to the fall. September’s menu includes meat loaf (a real hit the last time we served this), hash brown casseroles and green beans. Other sides and an array of desserts will complete our menu. We hope a large group will join us on Thursday, September 18th, at 12:15. If you haven’t attended, now is a good time to start; if you’ve been coming all along, invite a new friend to join you and enjoy the fellowship of friends sharing a meal. Perhaps you have a neighbor who is alone – what a perfect gift to invite them to be a part of our fellowship. And it’s fine if you want to sit around and visit long after the meal is finished. As always, let us know you’ll be attending. It would be a shame to run out of meat loaf!
