In the Foundations Class we focus on building good, solid foundations for a life lived in Christ. Our class welcomes adults of all ages and stages of life. We use a variety of materials to build our discussions, including the scriptures themselves, commentaries, lesson plans, and movies. Our topics range from in-depth studies of the scriptures to discussions about current events and cultural issues facing the Christian community and the Christian faith. Through our lessons and discussions, we help each other grow in faith and fellowship.

Billie Watt Class

Billie Watt began this class for returning veterans of World War II in the late 1940′s and it has been going strong ever since. The Present Word curriculum used in this class emphasizes the Bible as God’s revelation and the major source of understanding the Christian faith. It underscores the Biblical witness as the most effective means of teaching the gospel.

The Present Word lessons give attention to issues such as personal faith, ethics, human relationships, community responsibility, resurrection hope and the implications of Christian discipleship under the Lordship of Christ and in the fellowship of his Spirit. Teachers vary monthly and the class is held in Room 118, the Billie Watt Room.

New Fellowship Class

The New Fellowship Class is a diverse group that studies contemporary material in an open forum style. They meet in room 117 (directly across from Lorie Lewis’ office.
